Zorbas, founded in 1981, is among the longest-standing Greek restaurants in Helsinki. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, it has managed to endure, offering a beautiful atmosphere that effortlessly transports you from the cool Helsinki climate to the inviting warmth of Greece, complete with delectable cuisine and welcoming staff.



 



 

This charming family restaurant is nestled in the heart of Kallio, a vibrant neighborhood known for its eclectic mix of culture and community. Conveniently located opposite the Aleksis Kivi school and within walking distance of the iconic Culture House, this tavern embrace a warm and inviting ambiance that interest both locals and visitors alike.


With its intimate setting and cozy atmosphere, the restaurant boasts simply in charm that sets it apart from larger, more commercial establishments. Boasting fewer than 30 seats, each visit promises an intimate dining experience that is best enjoyed by reserving a table in advance. However, for those fortunate enough to reside in the area, spontaneous visits are equally rewarding.




Our dining experience commenced with a portion of tzatziki, which complements white wine perfectly. Next up was the grilled salmon dish named Solomon. The third course showcased Thalassini pasta, a delightful seafood pasta highlighting king prawns.
