Levi

Levi is the largest and most popular ski resort situated in Finnish Lapland. There are kilometers-long cross-country ski paths, many pistes, and ski lifts for downhill skiers and snowboarders in the municipality area called Kittilä, where Levi is located as well. However, Levi is a fabulous place to enjoy in winter and in summer to provide many activities such as hiking in the fell, going to the lakes and rivers, or discovering the national park. Levi is genuinely a fantastic place for nature lovers that offers so much excitement in a beautiful wild environment, from the stunning Midnight Sun up to the magic Northern Lights.


Levi fell

Levi is just 15 minutes from the Kittilä airport. It is an excellent place to travel to since it provides various activities, events, and cultural experiences in summer and winter.


The Levi fell is the largest ski resort in Lapland, and it has been chosen as the best Finnish ski resort of the year many times and has hosted the Alpine Ski World Cup Slalom race since 2004.


Levi offers different services such as bars, restaurants, shops, museums and art galleries, hotels, spa and child-friendly activities, ski school for beginners, youthful nightlife, sled safaris, midnight sun golfing, Samiland exhibition.




Visit the large Snow Village, which is built every winter. Experience the frostiness and the forever winter while dining in an icy restaurant or sleeping in a room made of ice and snow.


The glass igloo is also another unforgettable experience to try in the Levi fell, and perhaps to get the chance to enjoy Northern lights as a natural magic phenomena.


Levi and surrounding

Since Levi is located in the town of Kittilä, you can enjoy Levi's ski restore and explore the area around Levi and observe the lives of people in Lapland.


The Village of Kaukonen is one of the places worth visiting because it hosts the annual Silence Festival every summer. It brings art, music, and culture from Finland and abroad in a beautiful atmosphere and the heart of the magic Lapland.


Other villages to explore are villages of Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi, especially for people who love wild nature and are interested in Arctic wilderness and experience Lapland in all its authenticity. There are also long kilometers of skiing trails for cross-country skis in the clean and fresh air in the area of Pallas, Muonio, and Kätkä fell.



Elves' Village is the next destination for families with kids who wish to experience Santa's visit, travel to the forest, enjoy gingerbreads, and have a unique Christmas atmosphere.


Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is also a place suitable for families and offers many incredible landscapes, services, and activities to enjoy both in summer and winter.


Travel to Levi

Since Levi and the ski restore is close to the international airport of Kittilä, it is relatively easy to reach it by plane from various places, and there are many flights available from Helsinki and central Europe.


There are bus rides available through Rovaniemi as well, and of course, driving is a fantastic option too if anyone is interested in enjoying the roads and the landscape.

There are many restaurants and places to eat traditional Sami meals or other favorite cuisines at the ski resort of Levi and its surroundings.
